LEAF In the News
Lots of LEAF Love coming our way...."I arrive, attend, and leave LEAF in awe, utter awe. So many pieces working so smoothly, calmly, gracefully and professionally. I am humbled to be involved in such an amazing event, celebration,  educational showcase, community communion, .....so many things. Hats off to the many, many people who worked so hard and soulfully to plan and execute this amazing feat! Wow." -Vince

LEAF is #1 Festival for KIDS:...and it just got even better! LEAF Map14sm
Kids' Village  Is STARBURSTING across LEAF for 7 mini-interactive villages & One Big FAMILY ADVENTURE. LEAFlet Kids Village was SO AMAZING yet a bit isolated, and parents would get trapped there. Many parents requested beer in kids village or a main stage....we couldn't do that so we starbursted EVERY aspect of the beloved Kids Village throughout LEAF.The map is in design - look for round symbols for FAMILY ADVENTURES: Need visuals: SEE VIDEO or Read Ashvegas story.

"Hei hei, we have arrived safely in Port au Prince, and we are all agreeing that the week at LEAF has been life-changing, fabulous, and more fun that we could ever have imagined!! The parents were here when we arrived, receiving the kids and telling me to send a million thanks to you for taking so good care of their children.
The kids feel like rock stars ( as they should).
Thank you again for doing this for us!!! Hugs"

LEAF is proud to announce the lineup of performing artists for the Spring 2013 LEAF Festival, taking place May 9-12, 2013 in Black Mountain, NC. Headlining the 36th festival are R&B icon Mavis Staples; urban Latino culture-mashers Ozomatli; Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, led by the bluegrass legend; Zimbabwean maestro Oliver Mtukudzi & the Black Spirits; and Abigail Washburn, Appalachian songbird & long-time LEAF favorite. With support in part by a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts, LEAF will present an eclectic sampling of vocal traditions. From American folk, vocal jazz, and gospel traditions to Tibetan a cappella, Zimbabwean afro-pop and classical choral customs, you’ll experience a blend of voices both familiar and new.

"I've been a big fan of LEAF for years!
I really love both the community you've built around the festival, and the great work
you're doing with young peoplein Asheville
and around the world. You're doing something special."
