Information & Instructions for the NEW LEAF Arrival

From WEST & Asheville:
I-40 to Swannanoa exit #59. Turn left at end of exit ramp. Right at the traffic light onto US-70. Turn left at the next light, over bridge, and take an immediate right at yield sign onto Old US-70. Go 1.8 miles and turn right into Owen Pool Lot for drive-thru check in.
From EAST:
I-40 to first Black Mountain Exit #65. Ramp merges with US-70. Drive 3.5 miles, through town and then several traffic lights. See a huge Ingles warehouse on the left. Turn right at traffic light onto Grovestone Road. Turn left at next traffic light onto Old US-70. Go 1.6 miles and turn left into Owen Pool Lot for drive-thru check in.
After Drive-Thru Check-in, you will then be directed to your parking area.

PARKING:
Parking is $3 per vehicle. Come w/ correct change. (fee not applicable to vehicle campers w/ paid permit).

DAY Parking: ALL Day Visitors, including Community Pass, park at Owen Middle School and take LaZoom or Trolley shuttle up to the festival. Shuttle runs continuously from open till Fri/Sat 2am and Sun 7pm.

WEEKEND: After drive-thru check-in, come slowly up Lake Eden Rd. Tent Campers drop off gear at drop points near camp area- plan in advance where you camp so you know drop off point & pack light. Vehicle Campers go to their campground - plan to park & stay for safety and relaxation (note- ICE will be for sale on site). Cabins 1-20 go to special area at Gate 6 where ZOOM transport awaits you- pack light & easy. Cabins 21-44 proceed to their cabin parking area near cabins.
SHUTTLES:
Go to Drive-Thru Check-in BEFORE going to Lake Eden Road or Owen Middle Day Parking.
For Day Visitors the Festival starts with a fun maybe even musical ride on LaZoom or The Trolley!
BIG NEWS!!! VOLUNTEERS will go FIRST to the offsite DRIVE-THRU CHECK-IN just like ticket holders. Read & follow steps below to make your arrival quick & efficient.
VOLUNTEEER ARRIVAL STEPS:
1. NEW!! YOU MUST Bring a PRINTED copy of your email barcode confirmation. This is your entry ticket.
2. Come FIRST to the new Drive-Thru check in offsite at the Owen Pool Lot just before (or past if coming from east) you
get to Lake Eden Road. Do NOT come on Lake Eden Rd till you have your wristband and parking pass.
3. Once you have parked & unloaded, you will go to the NEW Volunteer Booth, now located at the Boathouse and check-
in with Volunteer Team to receive your schedule.
4. Arrival Times: Do NOT come early - arrival times correspond to when parking areas open & we do not have
a waiting area.
- Thursday 4:30pm-10pm (NOT before 4:30!)
- Friday 9am-11pm for weekend tickets (on Friday avoid 2:30-5 for high traffic time at local schools)
- Friday DAY Tickets Checkin opens at 4:30pm (NOT before 4:30!)
- Saturday 9am-9pm | Sunday 9am-3pm
• The Volunteer team will be glad to assist you in understanding the new check-in. Just ask & WATCH the

• NOTE: If you have a shift outside of normal festival hours. Pre-Festival Volunteers Monday-Thursday (& post festival
Mon - Wed) Shifts will be given special arrival information when you are contacted prior to LEAF.
• Weather: IMPORTANT. Volunteerss MUST be prepared for all types of weather, dress & plan accordingly.
• Food & Beverage: Snacks and drinks are not provided. Eat before shifts & bring snacks and water.
• Cancellation & Sick Policy: LEAF relies on dependable volunteers!! If you cannot volunteer, you
must notify us no later than May 1st for Spring and October 1st for fall . We will tear up your deposit checks & fill
your shifts. After May 1st and Oct 1st you will be considered a no-show and your deposit check WILL be cashed. In
extreme emergencies, refunds will be discussed with the volunteer director. You may NOT exchange volunteer deposit
for a ticket at the gate.

The biggest change we have this year is that our new easier check-in is now located 2 miles off site at Pisgah Brewery: 150 Eastside Drive, Black Mountain, NC 28711
Please inform your staff of this major change and look for directional signage from Highway 70 off of Interstate 40
Check-in for performers & guests will be at Pisgah Brewery just down the road from LEAF. More info coming soon!
Staff may pick up their packets in the LEAF office pre-fest Monday-Wednesday 10-6.
After Wednesday, Staff pick up packets at GRAND CENTRAL ZOOM STOP (old main gate). Note- new traffic flow direction by entering Gate 3.
Grand Central Staff pickups open Thursday Noon-10pm and Friday 9am-10pm.
On Thursday, Staff may setup tents AFTER 12 noon. NO tent setups before Thurs noon.
